I'm Jess Haley, and I teach Advanced Writing, Grammar, and Reading for the Loyola Intensive English Program in New Orleans, Louisiana!
I am very excited to begin our semester! As part of your course work, you will use this blog to report on your experiences at LIEP as well as explore different modes of writing and communication. You will receive 8 total assignments over the semester.
To make sure you are familiar with this site, I've set up a sample assignment. Since you've found this post, I see you were able to log in, good work! Now, for homework, let's create a post of your own!
Use the "blog orientation" handout to help you. There is a copy of this handout in the Course Materials folder of our blackboard page.
THE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT: Due before 11:00am Monday, September 10th!!!
Create a New Post on this blog. Title it "3 Things You Don't Know About your name." Within the post, write 3 things you think our class should know about you (what are your interests? travel experiences? hidden talents? pets?). Find a photo from the internet to include in your blog (this can come from google or your own facebook page)
